Yes – to enrol, you must hold a recognised certification in Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) that includes a minimum of three days of hands-on training or be a Certified Lymphoedema Therapist.

If your background is in Brazilian Body Sculpting or Brazilian Lymphatic Massage, you’ll need to complete the five-day Manual Lymphatic Therapy (MLT) Conversion Course before progressing.

Please note that online-only or short courses (one to two days) in lymphatic massage are not sufficient. This programme is highly advanced and clinically focused, so a solid foundation is essential. For this reason, the five-day MLT workshop is a required stepping stone before proceeding to this advanced training.

My priority is ensuring that therapists working with postoperative patients have strong, safe, and well-grounded skills before advancing further.

We start class at 09.00 each day. We aim to finish class between 17.00 and 18.00

Our workshops are intentionally kept small, allowing me to spend quality one-on-one time with each student to support their learning journey

You’ll need to feel comfortable, as you will be changing clothes for treatment practice. Please avoid tracksuits or overly revealing outfits. A work uniform is ideal, provided it doesn’t feature large logos.

For workshops held in plastic surgery clinics, smart yet comfortable clothing is expected, particularly on days when we welcome plastic surgery demonstration clients.

Yes. This training is approved by the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT), the leading membership body for massage and bodywork therapists in the UK. On completion—and provided you meet their entry criteria—you can apply for FHT membership and be insured by leading insurance companies to provide Advanced Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Advanced MLD). This scope of practice covers MLD, compression therapy, and lymphatic K-taping.

It is important to understand what “accreditation” means in the UK context. Massage therapy—and particularly the field of postoperative care—is not currently a regulated profession. This means that technically, any individual or training provider can describe their course as “accredited,” even if the training offered is very limited in both knowledge and clinical application. Unfortunately, this creates inconsistency in standards and risks for vulnerable postoperative clients.
