Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need previous MLD training to join?
Yes. This is an advanced-level workshop.
You must already hold a recognised 40+ hour MLD qualification (or equivalent).
You will be asked to submit your certificate before attending.

What if I’m not sure if my training meets the prerequisite?
If you’re unsure, please email us a copy of your certificate or course summary and we will review it with you.

Will I definitely observe live surgery?
We have collaborations in place for Manchester, London and Murrieta, CA. So, in these locations you will definitely have surgery observation included.

We are currently working on collaborations for Chicago and Deerfield Beach and are confident they will be in place in time for the workshop. If not, we have recorded and annotated footage to show you.

Is the training hands-on?
Yes — this training is very hands-on. We will have the clinic's patients for demonstration purposes.
You will practise techniques, assessment and clinical decision-making on each other.

Is the Pay in Full bonus pack really included with the payment plan too?
Yes — everyone receives the full Bonus Implementation Pack.

We do not penalise therapists for choosing a payment plan.

What happens if I can’t attend after booking?
We understand life happens.
If you need to change dates, you may transfer to a future workshop (subject to availability).

Do I need to complete the online theory before the in-person workshop?
Yes.
The online theory lays the foundation so that the hands-on week can be focused, skilled, and safe.
Most therapists complete it in short sessions over 1–3 weeks.

Will I receive a certificate?
Yes.
Once all required assessments are completed, you will receive your Aftercare Academy Certificate of Completion and Digital Credential, and (where applicable) can be included in our therapist directory.

If your assessments aren't completed, or we require you to have additional practice before your certificate is awarded, we have options so you can complete the training and receive your certificate.
